Ducati Motors, the biggest motorcycles’ manufacturer company of Italy, is apparently working to provide a more affordable streetfighter to the masses.
The spy photo of its new entry in the Monster range that it plans to introduce at the 2017 EICMA in Milan in November has surfaced. This new ‘basic’ Monster motorcycle is rumoured to be one of the most affordable street fighters from the Bologna-based two-wheeler maker.
The spy pictures are doing rounds on the internet since the time it was clicked somewhere in Europe during the trial. The rumours that are doing rounds indicate that Monster 800 retains some traditional Monster design cues while borrowing several parts from the Scrambler including Scrambler’s 803cc air-cooled engine.
The styling of this new bike is expected to come from Monster 821, but the frame will be new. Among the features that will be retained are the signature headlamp design, fuel tank and the seat design. The alloy wheels and brakes will be from Monster 821, while the swing arm and rear offset mono shock will be borrowed from the Scrambler.
